Auto Responder…Which One?
This is not an age old question, but it is one that can perplex some of us. I know I was perplexed. I needed an auto responder, but which one? There are several out there from the basic, to ones that have all the bells and whistles. Some of my questions were:
1.) What do I need to use it for?
2.) Is it user friendly for the average person?
3.) Does it have an optional ‘thank you’ page?
4.) How does it grow with my business?
5.) How much are the upgrades, if any?
6.) Can I manipulate the form codes?
7.) Can I add a letter after the campaign is set up?
8.) Can I send in HTML?
I looked at several, like A Weber, Get Response, Free Rotator, I Media and Traffic Wave are some I knew of. There are hundreds of them out there. Frankly, you can waste a lot of time looking at all of them and get all stressed out!
W
hat I did first was look at my emails that I opted in to receive from those who have interested me. I scrolled down to the bottom where the opt out link is, and found the name of the auto responder they used. I made a short list of them. I also tried to find that persons affiliate link just in case I wanted to join that one, so they get credit. I also added the ones I knew of.
After my list, I made one more. What I exactly want from my auto responder. I used the questions above to make that determination. The last factor was the cost effectiveness per month.
I found that most make you upgrade when your list gets to a certain subscriber count. I found some that were way to complicated. I found some did not have the statistics I was looking for. As silly as it sounds, I did find that all of them had qualities that I liked. But a decision had to be made. Based on the questions and lists I made, my choice was the Traffic Wave one. It gave me 30 days to try it for free and no upgrades when my subscriber list grew. Using it was quite easy, and found the quality outstanding – even the HTML. One feature I liked was they can take out your monthly payment from your commissions if you wish – I like to keep the credit card gig low!
I hope this little bit of what I went through to find a good auto responder helps you find one. For me it was a challenge that I kept putting off. That probably was not a smart thing to do, but hey, I’ve learned from it.
Have a fabulous day and don’t delay in picking your auto responder for your business or volunteer work!
All my best…
